The stage is held within two rounds. In the first round, the participants for the second round are identified. The results of the second round determine the winner.
The stage takes place in the institution "the Belarusian State History Museum of the Great Patriotic War" (Minsk).
This stage is directly carried out in the form of testing by tests, composed of 20 questions, combined into blocks of 10 questions of the same degree of complexity.
Contents of test questions:
The history of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945;
Tactical performances of weapons and military equipment of the period of the Great Patriotic War;
Heroes of the USSR during the Great Patriotic War (at least 10);
Marshals of the Great Patriotic War;
Hero cities of the USSR;
International humanitarian law.
All team members participate in the first round. Participants receive the same formalized forms with 20 questions according to different sections and within
25 minutes in writing give the answers of tests.
The members of the subcommittee within 15-20 minutes check the tests and determine the amount of points that each member gained after the testing is completed. According to the results of the first round, the best participants are determined, those who gave no less than 80% of correct answers to tests are allowed to the second round. Points are awarded as follows: for the correct answer - 5 points; for the wrong answer - 0 points.
